Starting in July, the Kapitol Klowns will be meeting on the 3rd Monday of each month in the TNC classroom in the Town Center building (the large building at the bottom of the hill when you come onto the property).

We hope this works for all those who entertain on Tuesdays.

Tuesday, May 20th. is the next monthly meeting of Kapitol Klowns. You DO NOT want to miss this meeting. If you care about the Klub, If you care about the future of the klub, you should find the time to attend. We need ALL members support. We have to fill the four positions on the Board. We have to make the final decision if the October convention is on or off.. We have the honor of being the second oldest alley in the United States… Did you know that? Do we want the Klub to continue? We need EVERYONE to attend the May meeting…PLEASE.

Mark your calendars for the Third Tuesday in April (Tuesday, April 15, 2014) for the “long awaited” AUCTION. We hopefully have seen the last of any SNOW that will cause us to cancel this most important meeting. There is so much that Bubbles will be hauling to the auction – some of her own things as well as additional items from Ginny Casterline. Kathy Breeze will bring items from Gwendolyn Wanda who is also retiring from clowning.

SPREAD THE WORD TO OTHER ALLEYS/CLUBS/FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS – The Arts & Craft Room at Riderwood’s Montgomery Station will be FULL of items, just waiting for your presents.

The club also has some other items on the agenda … like, selecting new club officers … don’t be shy … we need YOU.

Hope everyone is enjoying the St. Patricks Day snow. I am emailing everyone to inform them that the March 18,2014 regular clown meeting has been cancelled due to the snow.

Everyone please keep your auction items for April regular meeting. Everyone please be safe out there there and see you all next month.

Fay Lundin invites the members of the Kapitol Klowns to help entertain the guests at the Hispanic Family Party on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at the College Park United Methodist Church. (This is the same location as the Clown convention – Take exit 25B off the Beltway, merge south on Rt 1 Baltimore Ave, turn left at second left on Hollywood, the church is at the intersection of Hollywood and Rhode Island. )

They expect about 50 kids, and maybe 100 -150 people total. This is down from last year which was about 250! The party is from 6-8:30 pm. But it looks like they don’t expect entertainment till 7:20pm. All we expect is that the clowns will interact with the kids. There isn’t really formal entertainment. Family services provides pizzas for the kids. Santa is coming from the Fire Department. He speaks Spanish and English. All the kids speak English and many of the parents as well. There is a change in the club’s Holiday dinner – due to the alert of more snow for Tuesday, December 10th, the board has decided to CANCEL TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10TH.

The Kapitol Klowns have been invited back to the Special Love Holiday Party on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Many of us have volunteered at their event in the past and hopefully, we will have another great group of clowns this year. Special Love Is a nonprofit organization that provides cancer families a network of support. Their annual holiday party is for the children who attended their Camp Fantastic and their immediate families.
